Frequently Asked Questions

QUESTION: If I am injured in an accident, what is the first thing I should do?

ANSWER: First, take whatever steps are necessary to secure your health and safety. Cooperate with law enforcement, emergency and rescue personnel. Comply with any recommended doctor visits, therapy or other treatments to ensure that you heal as much as possible. You have a duty to mitigate, or limit, your damages and losses to yourself, and following doctor orders regarding treatment, and compliance with work or activity limits is a means to demonstrate your satisfaction of this requirement.
